The Traitors glued audiences to their screens during its first season, which saw 22 contestants go head to head in the nail-biting psychological reality competition.
Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the BBC One show reached 21 million viewers with its last series, officially becoming the BBC’s biggest new entertainment launch since 2021.
Its success won the show a BAFTA TV Award for Best Reality & Constructed Factual, an NTA for Reality Competition, an RTS Award for Entertainment, and the Broadcasting Press Guild Award for Best Entertainment Programme, as well as some awards for Winkleman.
Now, before the second season has even been released, the show is getting ready to welcome a new set of strangers for Season 3. It is on the lookout for those who feel confident about their skills when it comes to figuring out who is trustworthy and who is a conniving backstabber out to get the big prize of £120,000 at all costs.

The season will consist of 12 hour-long episodes produced by Studio Lambert for BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Talking about the announcement, the Head of Entertainment at the BBC, Kalpna Patel-Knight, shared: “The massive unscripted hit The Traitors will be back for a third series.
“Expect to see more psychological gameplay, exciting challenges and of course Claudia at the helm.
“It will be a thrilling ride for both avid fans and newcomers to the series for sure. The BBC will always remain faithful to The Traitors.”
Similarly, the CEO of Studio Lambert, the production house that creates the show added: “We’re delighted a third series of The Traitors has been confirmed today ahead of the second series’ arrival on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
