A primetime clash between Newcastle and Arsenal headlines Saturday evening's action in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta has rallied his Gunners for a fresh title charge after last season's disappointment and a victory on Tyneside could put them top of the table.

A rotated Arsenal side were well beaten by West Ham in the Carabao Cup ahead of the trip north but they will hope that has little bearing on the resumption of league duties.

Newcastle will view things a little differently after swatting aside Manchester United in the same competition on Wednesday night.

After a tricky start, the Toon are unbeaten in six league games and will view this match as a springboard towards another tilt at a top-four finish.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Newcastle vs Arsenal is scheduled for a 5.30pm GMT kick-off on Saturday, November 4, 2023.

The match will take place at St. James' Park.

Newcastle vs Arsenal team news

A hefty injury list grew for Newcastle in midweek with Matt Targett taken off with a hip injury.

The left-back joins Alexander Isak, Jacob Murphy, Sven Botman, Elliot Anderson, Harvey Barnes and Javier Manquillo in the treatment room while Sandro Tonali is suspended.

Arsenal lost Emile Smith Rowe to injury ahead of the West Ham defeat. Gabriel Jesus, Thomas Partey and Jurrien Timber are also absent.

William Saliba, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard should all return to the XI after being benched in the cup and Arteta has a decision to make between Takehiro Tomiyasu and Oleksandr Zinchenko at left-back.

Newcastle vs Arsenal prediction

What a mighty test this is for both teams.

Newcastle know a win will catapult them back into the top-four picture and continue a fine rune of form, whereas Arsenal will want at least a point to continue their title push.
