Dilshan Madushanka moved to the top of the Cricket World Cup leading wicket taker charts despite Sri Lanka being blown away by India.

A five-wicket haul for the pace bowler on Thursday elevated him to 18 wickets, while Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah helped themselves in reply.

Adam Zampa took three wickets in a narrow win over New Zealand, while Mitch Santner also added to his haul with a pair of wickets to continue his fine tournament.

Also on 16 wickets are Shaheen Shah Afridi, picking up three more wickets against Bangladesh after his five-wicket haul against Australia and South Africa, and Proteas bowler Marco Jansen.
